Abstract

Latar belakang : Merokok dapat menyebabkan kerusakan genetik
pada mukosa rongga mulut dan meningkatkan resiko kanker
mulut. Mikronukleus merupakan salah satu penanda kerusakan
genetik, pengukuran frekuensi mikronukleus pada mukosa mulut
dapat menjadi salah satu usaha untuk mendeteksi sejauh mana
efek genotoksik merokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pengaruh merokok terhadap frekuensi pembentukan
mikronukleus pada mukosa mulut penggunanya
